We made our own Save the Dates and they really turned out to be a labor of love.  I doubt we’ll be taking the same route with our invitations only because, though they seemed relatively easy, it took forever to get these suckers done and in the mail!  So, let’s do a little break down, shall we? The way I see it, throwing a wedding is a pretty big donation to the economy no matter how budget friendly you are and while you’re doing it, you may as well do it right.  This is why my motto is whenever possible: go green, go local.  Going green is one thing, and while it’s definitely difficult, sometimes it helps just to be conscience of recycled paper and materials, online RSVPs,... 

I know I haven’t been blogging much and it’s not just work that’s preventing me from blogging.  It’s stress. This wedding is stressing me out, man!  Everything from our “simple” DIY Save the Dates to our venue.  I don’t deal with stress well.  When I get stressed it gets taken out on my body.  I get headaches, I eat like a pig, I get heart burn, I get... 

Last weekend, Ritchie and I sat down to replicate these save the dates that I was inspired by.  After I wrote a huge long timeline for us, we sat down at the computer side by side while he Photoshopped and I edited the timeline.  It took hours, but when I saw our final result I thought it was totally worth it and I couldn’t wait to share it with the world.
